Mo for Mayor?
Anarchist Mo Karnage is apparently running for mayor of Richmond: I need to get 50 signatures from registered voters in each district. Are there people who would be willing to help me collect these signatures over the next week? I can get you copies of the forms, no problem. Then its just a matter of sitting outside for a couple hours. @mokarnagexvx / mokarnage.tumblr.com Original Article

Have you seen Nakoda?
Nakoda got away from his home last night. Please keep an eye out for him if you’re in the Fan area. He was last seen in the 3500 block of Park Avenue, but is very skiddish. […] Please call animal control right away if you see him, they are trying to get him for us because he is so traumatized he will not come to me. We saw him this morning running down monument towards blvd and when...

Years to go before GRTC barns are developed
“I performed a very detailed” site study of the 6.8-acre property, said McNally, who lived in Texas before moving to Richmond. While many clamor for the GRTC to sell the location to developers, few are unaware of the legal implications at stake. There are both federal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the state’s Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) laws that the GRTC cannot ignore....

Richmond Deconstructed
Richmond Deconstructed If you cut every block in central Richmond off a map and spread them out on a table, it might look like this. Inspired strongly by Armelle Caron’s “Anagrammes graphiques de plans de ville,” but I imposed an additional layer of topology: in addition to shape and size, the true north-south orientation of each block is also maintained. via Cakes and Courage Original...

Monroe Park renovation delayed, still planned
Samuels said he is confident the funds will be secured and when it is, the entire park will still be closed for renovations as originally planned. That part of the plan doesn’t sit well with some people. Online petitions still circulate to keep a portion of the park open during renovations for those who rely on it daily, like the homeless. “They need to be quiet, for real,” said one homeless...

Bike found, another bike for sale "by crackheads"
I found an expensive-looking Specialized road bike, mostly black, carbon fiber front fork, white tape on the bars. Looks like a thief nabbed it but could not get the security chain off, so he/she stuffed it in a trash can so as not to get caught with a stolen bike. I have it safe on my back porch. Though the fork has been separated from the downtube, the bike appears to be in pretty good shape....
