Trask’s The Great Escape next up at glave kocen

image

Ed Trask is back with a new solo exhibit firing up in a few weeks at glave kocen gallery.

The Great Escape
May 3-June 8
opening reception May 3 6-9PM

From painting murals all over the world, playing drums for the loosely reunited Kepone, firing up the RVA Street Art Festival and of course painting for this exhibit, it’s no wonder Ed chose this theme! Through his own wants & desires, Trask has crafted an exhibit that speaks to all of our wanderlust and basic need for Solace. With multiple narrative paintings including a Baptismal scene, A Freight Train Traveller, and a painting called, “Sign of the Times” which is a classic Ed Trask take on and old roadside sign with a Red Tailed Hawk majestically perched on top. Nature and Trains always play a big part of what Ed tends to focus on but maybe this show lets a little light on as to why he gravitates toward these subjects?
